I think that most people lie on their profile, because they aren’t taking it seriously. It’s easy to pretend you are someone you’re not if you never plan on meeting this person. My statistic might be off, but I’m going to say that probably 40% of profiles online at "matching sites" are made up. That the person who made it has no intention of responding or meeting anyone they meet on that site.
